After growing up in India, I completed my master’s studies in Germany in Microelectronics (with a focus on Embedded Systems) in 2021 and recently joined GEA Farm Technologies in Bönen. As a software engineer, I am helping develop software for automatic milking systems and contributing to a digital cloud solution. Within GEA Digital, I am involved in the Extended Data Storage project, which collects the milking robot’s machine and process data for storage in the cloud. Using these data has allowed us to enhance research and development in the areas of machine learning and data analysis.

As a software developer, I am always looking to learn and challenge myself. Being part of GEA has given me an amazing platform to explore more and gain insights into the latest digital solutions, and this has been so far a great learning curve for someone like me who’s just beginning to build a career in this digital world. The collaborative spirit with in the GEA Digital network is what has made it such an enriching experience so far. Our software development team works closely with the Design Validation & Testing team to make sure our end-product is optimized in line with the specific needs of customers. We are constantly exchanging ideas and testing ways to optimize the robot’s processes – a spirit of continuous improvement that I really enjoy.
