Heat Detection

By monitoring movements and signs of heat, the CowScout system identifies cows in heat and their optimal insemination times to help improve in-calf rates on your farm. It can also show you a list of non-cycling cows, cows not mated and pregnant cows that may be cycling.

Arjun Singh New Zealand farm owner

Arjun Singh puts all his trust into CowScout collars for heat detection. And it's paid off.

Since fitting CowScout collars, Arjun relies on CowScout to tell him when each cow is on heat. Saving him and his 4 hours a day as they no longer need to manually check for heats. Giving them the freedom to focus on other tasks...

Andrew Fullerton using CowScout on his computer

Knowing all heats prior to mating has been a big bonus for Andrew Fullerton.

CowScout has played a pivotal role in helping Andrew improve results during mating. With prior heat data available, he uses this to determine when each cow is having a true. Helping him to achieve better conception rates.

Health Monitoring

CowScout’s health monitoring keeps track of your cows so you don’t have to, notifying you when a cow is showing any symptoms of potential illnesses so you can treat issues before they become problems.

Keeping tabs on each cow 24/7 gives Arjun an advantage with health management.

Housing his cows in a free-stall barn environment, Arjun relies on CowScout to accurately monitor rumination rates. With this data, Arjun can easily determine feed quality. Improving on production and overall health.

With CowScout on his herd, Andrew and his staff can easily identify cows that are showing signs of potential health issues. Enabling them to act quicker and make more informed decisions.

Data at your fingertips

When a cow’s collar comes within range of the antenna, the data is collected and analysed by the software. From there, it gets converted into easy-to-interpret information and graphs, which can be accessed remotely from a device with internet connection.

Holding a full 24 hours of information, the collars are designed to suit any farm type or size, including once-a-day herds.
