Containment throughout the entire process
Exposure and cross contamination can happen at every transfer point. Containment measures keep the product enclosed as it moves from one vessel to the next, and hold that seal through docking, transfer, and disconnection.
However, containment is only as strong as the system surrounding it. To maintain containment performance throughout manufacturing, transfer technology must work seamlessly with the equipment that transports, lifts, stores and delivers materials.
How much containment you need depends on three things: the potency of the API, the process, and how your operators work. GEA assesses all three against your exposure limits before recommending equipment.
