Process Expo
As 2023 draws to a close, we are honored to participate in the 2023 Process Expo sponsored by the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA). For the past six months, a team from GEA has been working with the association and other member companies to assemble operating production lines. Each line will be demonstrated multiple times each day of the show.
GEA is proud to participate in two of the three lines featured at the 2023 event. Our GEA MultiJector with 2mm OptiFlex needles will operate in the Bacon Processing Line along with several pieces of ancillary equipment. The GEA PowerGrind with BES (bone elimination system) will take its place at the front of the Pet Food Treat line.
Besides the operating equipment, we will have multiple displays at our booth location. Come and learn how we have worked to make our best innovations even better. All while meeting optimum hygiene, quality, efficiency and sustainability standards.

On the GEA Booth:
- FIRST TIME AT PROCESS EXPO -- GEA SmartPacker CX400 sanitary with GEA Smart Sealing will be up and running. By adding a new sealing system to our vertical bagger, we have developed a machine that is ideally suited for the frozen food market. The GEA Smart Sealing System uses special metal tape in the sealing area. It eliminates the need to replace Teflon tape on the heated sealing jaws after just a few hours. The bagger will be demonstrated during the show.
- FIRST TIME AT PROCESS EXPO -- GEA MaxiFormer, with patented forming technology, is our most efficient forming solution for high-quality formed poultry, pork and meat replacement products. It has been designed to address many of the issues traditionally associated with drum forming. By fully understanding the whole process, including critical grinding and chilling operations, GEA made important changes to the technology, which have a major impact on the final product.
- FIRST TIME AT PROCESS EXPO – GEA CALLIFREEZE® demo unit. This unique system monitors the condition of products exiting the freezer and then automatically calibrates the freezer so that every product is frozen according to optimum requirements.
- FIRST TIME AT PROCESS EXPO -- A special display manifold that features our wide selection of GEA valves. These hygienic components are ideal for use in dairy and beverage applications.
- SEE our G05 Separation Skid – This small centrifuge skid comes with a standard package that makes it the perfect choice for small to medium beverage manufacturers looking to increase yield and manage the consistency of their product. It has a hydraulic capacity of 5000 l/hr.
- SEE our Model R Filtration Skid used to perform pilot studies on membrane filtration technologies (MF, UF, NF and RO) under a wide range of operating conditions and a variety of membrane types.
- FIND OUT MORE about our full line of lab-sized equipment that includes the GEA xStream Lab Homogenizer on display at the booth. This small but mighty homogenizer features the NiSoX valve and can operate at pressures up to 2000 bar.
