The GEA Cloud is a discrete data network within the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). To benefit from the seamless, automated data management, our customers link their equipment to this secure data network. Special interface modules, known as Edge gateway modules, provide the necessary connections on the plant floor and transmit data from the installed equipment to the GEA Cloud.
In the GEA Cloud we leverage a modern data science platform to transform and analyze the collected data. The results are fed into our customer-friendly web applications, creating added value by improving availability, productivity and sustainability of the customer’s operations.
Importantly, through this same online connection, you as a customer can also monitor your equipment from wherever you are, using mobile devices – standard cellphones and tablets – or desktop computers.

Access to GEA Cloud components is role-based rather than group-based and follows the least-privilege principle, ensuring every participant has only the minimum user rights needed to perform their tasks. Different parts of the network are segregated from another to contain any security issues.
All data traffic is monitored by a firewall leveraging defined routing controls. Public endpoints to the system go through special gateways that secure these connections. The system is regularly tested to identify any threats and vulnerabilities. Thus, GEA customers can rely on robust protection of their data and full compliance with information security protocols.

GEA Portal is the central hub for your collaboration with GEA. All our cloud-based service management solutions have been consolidated into one user-friendly point of access with three core apps and special industry-related apps. Simply open the GEA Portal online, wherever you are, and gain access to real-time machine status updates, all your service orders and schedules, new service requests, unified GEA Service contacts, and technical documents for your GEA equipment.
