- GEA’s HR practices score well above benchmark in key categories
GEA remains one of Europe’s most attractive employers and continues to build on its position in a globally renowned ranking. The company is being awarded the “Top Employer 2025” award in six countries, including, for the first time, Italy. The Top Employers Institute in its independent assessment again emphasizes the company’s excellent performance in the areas “Purpose & Values” and “Sustainability”, among others. In addition, GEA once again attained a high score in the “Leadership” category, with high marks this year also for “Business Strategy”.
Dr Ulrich Braig, CHRO of GEA: “We are delighted about the renewed and extended award as Top Employer. This is evidence of our international efforts to create an excellent working environment. Our leading position as a sustainability pioneer differentiates us in the job market and attracts top talent. In the hotly contested market for well qualified employees, this seal gives us a valuable competitive edge.”
Independent evaluation
The Top Employers Institute assesses companies based on the information they provide in the HR Best Practices Survey. This information is then comprehensively validated by the institute. The survey encompasses six overarching HR domains that cover 20 HR topics, including “People Strategy”, “Work Environment”, “Talent Acquisition”, “Learning”, “Well-being” and “Diversity & Inclusion”.
The survey additionally pinpoints areas for development – where GEA’s HR practices could be further optimized – and provides corresponding impetus and recommended courses of action. Today, over 1,800 companies across more than 120 countries are assessed. According to a survey by the institute, the Top Employer certification seal is a key job search criterion for more than 90% of potential applicants.
