Provide technical and product related support to GEA Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to assist with trouble shooting and root cause analysis.
On-site technical support to FSEs and customers
Support service branches with technical queries and compile technical reports where required.
Conduct technical and compliance audits on customers’ sites, identifying operational risks, shortcomings and convert to service opportunities.
Sales support to service branches.
Development of Technical Support Specialists in the major service hubs
Support service branches with actions to improve quality of workmanship.
Identify and communicate training requirements to HRT Technical trainer
Warranty Management
Assist with the assessment of warranty jobs in service departments
Compile and distribute lessons learnt documents, based on badly executed jobs and associated risk
Support service branches with customer meetings related to warranty jobs
Identify and communicate best practices
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or extensive experience in technical service support in the field of industrial ammonia refrigeration
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in sales and technical support in ammonia industrial refrigeration
Sound knowledge of service offerings in industrial ammonia refrigeration
SAQCC Authorized Refrigeration (Designer and Inspector – Industrial Refrigeration)
Trade tested in Refrigeration
Other Skills & Competencies
English and Afrikaans (proficient),
Good negotiation skills.
Very good communication skills
Strong customer orientation with the focus on service delivery
Ability to engage with customers at different levels
Experience in working remotely
Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
