Are you ready to drive operational excellence in a dynamic legal department? We are seeking a proactive Specialist in Legal Operations (f/m/d) to optimize our legal processes and technology. This role is key to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department, also in driving the implementation, integration, and optimization of legal technology solutions that streamline workflows. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in legal tech tools, process improvement, project management, finance management and vendor management, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Technology Management: implementation and integration of legal technology solutions, such as document automation, Legal Matter Management (LMM), and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, to optimize legal operations.
Finance Management: analyzing legal spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings. Overseeing the invoicing and payment process for legal services.
Process Improvement: Analyze and improve current legal processes, identifying opportunities for automation to reduce inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
Automation Initiatives: Drive automation projects to minimize manual tasks, including contract review, document generation, and data entry.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external technology vendors to ensure all tools are well-maintained, updated, and aligned with organizational needs.
Develop and implement efficient processes for the legal department to manage operations and reduce costs.
Knowledge Management: Facilitating knowledge hubs, preventing knowledge loss, etc.
Training & Support: Provide training to the legal team on new technologies, ensuring seamless adoption and effective use of legal tech tools.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analysis, law, or a related field.
Experience in legal operations, legal administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of legal software and case management systems.
Experience in implementing and managing legal tech solutions.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to plan and execute strategies aligned with business goals.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to address issues and resolve conflicts, especially during negotiations.
Experience in project management and change management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and enhancing legal processes.
Strong communication skills: You should be able to communicate well, including writing, speaking, and listening. You should be able to understand detailed or complex processes and explain them to others.
Strategic Planning skills: You can develop strategic plans and goals for the legal department. You will provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
The ability to influence: A core tenet of legal ops is improvement. You should be able to identify a problem, gather information on how to solve it, and encourage others to work differently. You must use both data and empathy to effect change.
The ability to make connections: Your will live in data so you can identify opportunities to improve. You need to think analytically and understand how different parts of the processes work together to identify what needs to change
