As CAD Engineer you design and create detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and pipe line schematics for mechanical refrigeration systems, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Design 3D models in line with GEA standards, customer specs, and regulations with the help of CAD software (AutoCad, Plant3D, Inventor)
Develop custom designs using GEA solutions.
Create BOM for piping and construction work.
Generate 2D drawings for layouts and special details.
Review equipment drawings from suppliers and implement in 3D model.
Collaborate with refrigeration mechanical engineers to full fill customer specs and process design
Report project issues to project managers and work-related concerns to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities & Accountability:
Ensure accurate 3D model to avoid financial impact.
Manage project planning and report any budget/time overruns.
Deliver precise installation drawings and ensure proper mechanical design.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or process engineering (preferred).
Autodesk Plant 3D experience is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in designing 3D pipe systems.
Proficient in CAD software including Autodesk Plant P&ID, 3D, and Inventor.
Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Axapta or SAP.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs accurately.
Experience with MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
