Your responsibilities and tasks:

  • Establishes, maintains, and reviews schedules on a regular basis for standard packaged system contracts and mechanical product design / development programs.
  • Provides Management with estimates of manpower and financial needs for mechanical product development programs.
  • Responds to mechanical product line maintenance needs as input by Sales, Manufacturing, Service, and corrective action procedures.
  • Maintains Fabrication Standards, Engineering Documents, and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) systems.
  • Administers and maintains company’s part numbering and standard bill of material systems.
  • Ensures that standard products and packaged systems are designed within code and safety standards, quality standards, reliability standards and compliance standards.
  • Coordinates output of standard mechanical development programs with Sales, Manufacturing, Service and Project Engineering.
  • Assists Head of Engineering in preparation of annual Engineering budget and capital appropriations.
  • Coordinates standard product development and engineering activities to maximize the output of available staff and simultaneously ensure standard product integrity, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Coordinates mechanical engineering operations with other departments, so that clear and current communications are maintained with a minimum amount of time expended to implement these communications.
  • Provide standard product, screw compressor, and package systems technical support before, during and after the sale.
  • Performs profit and budget updates / reviews for standard products. 
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for standard products and GEA compressors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Eight years of engineering experience in refrigeration industry
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Detailed oriented
