CONTRA pumps are designed according to the world's highest hygiene requirements, are CIP and SIP capable and facilitate the qualification of the pump in the plant through extensive customer and requirement-specific documentation and certificates. In addition to standard connections according to DIN, ASME and ANSI, a wide range of special connections are available on request.
The sophisticated design of the pump hydraulics and the high motor efficiency make them particularly smooth and quiet in operation.
All CONTRA pumps are made of deep-drawn rolled and forged steel 1.4404/1.4435 (AISI 316L). In contrast to comparable cast materials, this achieves a very homogeneous, pore- and blowhole-free surface. These high-quality surfaces facilitate cleanability and guarantee high process reliability for a wide variety of applications in the beverage, food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries.
For pumps that are to be used in potentially explosive areas, the CONTRA is available in the Adapta variant. This design, which has an EC declaration of conformity in accordance with the ATEX guideline 2014/34/EU, can be used in categories 2 and 3 .
The adaptation to customer-specific requirements is particularly noteworthy in the CONTRA pump series.
Thanks to its great variability in connections and mountings, it can be ideally adapted to customer requirements and demanding pumping tasks. Due to the extensive range of mechanical seals, an optimum sealing solution is available for every pumped medium.
The various impeller sizes and geometries make the pumps highly efficient. Additional flexibility can be achieved by operation with an integrated frequency converter. The particularly gentle pumping of even shear-sensitive media due to a very low NPSH value should be emphasized.
Thanks to an extensive variety of mechanical seals, a wide range of media and applications can be served. The single-acting, internal mechanical seals used for the CONTRA series are optimally positioned in the pump chamber.
This ensures that the mechanical seal is effectively lubricated and cooled and ensures CIP and SIP capability in accordance with the criteria for hygienic design.
The patented Adapta design enables quick and easy motor change, where the pump can remain in the pipeline. This eliminates the need for revalidation of the system in pharmaceutical applications after a motor change.
