Aseptomag® valve line

Control Valves Aseptomag® RVIN

Aseptomag® single-seat control valves are used for the exact setting and control of parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, or filling level in UltraClean and Aseptic processing plants. The inverted control valve is specifically designed for installations where product enters the valve from the bellows side.

Control Valve Aseptomag® RVIN – standard execution

A welded stainless steel bellows is used to hermetically seal the product area from outside contamination and enables optimum process and product safety. In contrast to conventional control valves, the inverted control valve has its control contour on the side facing away from the bellows, so that it can be closed against the flow direction even in application processes where the product enters the valve on the bellows side. An electro-pneumatic positioner enables the precise positioning of the valve stem by controlling the pneumatic actuator.

Main Components

Housing
The single-part housing with two chambers designed specifically for this control valve ensures that no mechanical interfaces outwards can endanger product safety on the negative pressure side, like it can occure at flash vessel applications. They are available with either two or three port connections. The valves are produced with standard butt-weld connections by default. Mixed port connection sizes, a divisible design for Internal Assemblies with an additional valve seat seal as well as various aseptic pipe connections are available upon request.

Internal Assembly
The internal assembly is designed without an additional valve seat seal by default. It includes a hemispheric control cone to enable smooth operation in a process and includes only one product-wetted seal. Designs with an additional valve seat seal are available upon request.

Actuator
The standard version of the pneumatic actuator is designed as air-closing / spring-opening and results in a normally open failsafe position for inverted control valves.

Clamp
Due to its solid construction, the GEA clamp enables a pressure stable and safe connection of the main components. The special design with three segments allows a service-friendly handling of the component, even under tight space conditions.

Positioner / Process Controller
Aseptic inverted control valves can be equipped with three different types of positioners. The closed centralized positioner (GRZ) is used by default and can be exchanged with either an open centralized positioner (ORZ) or a closed decentralized system (GRD). Depending on process requirements, it is also possible to apply a process controller instead of a positioner.

Double-chamber valve Aseptomag® DK – valve matrix

Aseptomag® aseptic valves are designed to meet the highest demands for aseptic processes in the dairy, food and beverage industry.

Aseptic bellows valves distinguish themselves with the uncompromisingly hermetic seal of the valve stem, thereby minimizing contamination risks and maximizing detection possibilities. The Aseptomag® valve line is the equivalent for aseptic processes to the hygienic VARIVENT® valve line and provides everything from shut-off and bottom-seat to mixproof and sampling valves. The valves meet the highest hygienic standards required, such as EHEDG and 3-A standards. Thanks to the modular structure, the Aseptomag® valve line also allows tailor-made valve solutions for specific process requirements (higher closing pressures, special materials, special design, etc). Aseptomag® valves can be equipped with T.VIS® control tops and can therewith seamlessly be integrated into an automated process plant.

Aseptic Applications

For aseptic processes, the following areas have to be considered: Product sterilization, conveying and maintaining sterility, and filling under sterile conditions. Aseptic processes signify high-quality products and/or long shelf-life, produced for specific consumer groups. Besides classic UHT milk products, medical nutrition, baby food, aseptically produced beverages and applications within biotech belong to this hygienic class.
