Whether dealing with abrasive or adhesive products or strong solvents and concentrations, GEA Rhino is equipped to handle pressures up to 2000 bar, setting a benchmark in the industry.

GEA Rhino is offered as both high-pressure homogenizer and high-pressure radial collider. The design includes option to eliminate all elastomeric and plastic seals including dynamic plunger seals that are typically sensitive to high pulsating pressure, solvents, and temperatures, thus enhancing operational reliability, reducing production downtime and maintenance frequency.

GEA Rhino is designed for heavy duty applications in the chemical industry, including products like conducting carbon (carbon black, graphite, graphene, carbon nanotubes (CNT)) slurry for battery production, Cellulose slurry for Nano Fibrillation, Industrial Bio cell disruption for biodegradable plastic production.

All metallic or Sintered seals

  • Elimination of seal extrusion, damage and failures caused by inherent pulsating pressure and cavitation (when occurring)

Truly aligned plunger with its seals system allows use of novel metal and advanced sintered material, without elastomers or plastic

Open drive end

  • Easier maintenance
  • No need for ventilation and cooling of drive compartment
  • More compact and easier to fix to foundation if needed

Modular Lightweight Piped discharge manifold

  • No need for lifting heavy parts for maintenance of suction and discharge pump check valves and valve seats

Feed system with Air operated double diaphragm pump (AODDP) and one dampening equalizer for each plunger

  • High abrasion, adhesion, and chemical resistant feed system
  • All flow pulsations are balanced, and high frequency (10~15/s) flow variations are compensated
