GEA hosts various events, including an annual Diversity Day, where all employees are actively involved. We provide human rights training and incorporate mandatory Diversity and Inclusion content for everyone. Additionally, our learning platform offers online training on workplace anti-harassment and other Diversity and Inclusion topics to ensure that all employees stay informed and engaged.
GEA is dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative workplace. One of our five core values emphasizes diversity: “We value our differences.”
To support these efforts, GEA has launched several key initiatives:
1. LGBT*IQ Support and Awareness: GEA has partnered with the PROUT AT WORK Foundation to champion the LGBT*IQ community within the company.
2. Cultural Coffee: This virtual initiative brings together employees from different locations for 20-minute sessions to connect and share their experiences. Open to all GEA employees through self-registration, it fosters global integration and cross-functional interaction.
3. Lean In Initiative: A company-wide network focused on empowering women at GEA. It includes subgroups dedicated to various key topics and is open to all female employees, promoting diversity and inclusion across the organization.
All three initiatives are equally important in enhancing diversity, integration, and collaboration among GEA employees. For more information, visit our Diversity and Inclusion Page.
GEA offers a dedicated mentoring program for female employees, pairing female executives with mentees to support career growth. Launched in 2022, this one-year program emphasizes personal development, networking, and goal setting. Currently focused on female mentorship, we plan to expand to a global mentoring initiative for all employees in the near future.
Additionally, GEA supports women through our ‘Lean In’ network – wide women’s network with subgroups on various key topics. Participation is open to all female GEA employees and is recognized globally. Further information can be found on the Diversity and Inclusion Page.
GEA is committed to the safety and well-being of all our employees. We strive to ensure a respectful workplace. We have clear and effective processes for reporting and investigating incidents of discrimination or harassment. GEA encourages employees to speak up without hesitation, and we take immediate action to address any issues, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
We make adjustments to work environments and processes to ensure that everyone can perform their job effectively and comfortably. Further, applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply, and we provide support to ensure an equitable application process.
